Why Aura?
Common is building a decentralized protocol for communities to coordinate and govern anything. Aura exists to recognize the early contributors helping make this happen.
It tracks meaningful participation across social, technical, and onchain layers — and will play a role in how governance, roles, and rewards evolve over time.
How Do You Generate Aura?
Each action you take generates aura. Here are some examples:
- Onchain Actions — Vote, swap, and more via the Common Client
- Governance — Join discussions, create, support proposals
- Ecosystem Quests — Interact with projects like Soneium, OKX Wallet, and more
- Exploration — Discover new communities and tools in the network
- Share — Rewards and additional multipliers for every user that you refer

Is Aura a Token? No — And Other FAQs
Your aura will automatically be credited to you as you participate — no extra tools needed. You’ll be able to see it as you complete quests.
As we progress through the season, the team is going to be continuously tuning aura rewarded per action. We’ll be working with the community to improve high quality engagement, so expect frequent updates.
Aura represents your contribution and may influence governance and unlock future protocol roles. It’s reputation, not speculation. We consider ourselves User #0 here. And over time, we want to allow communities to generate their own Community Aura.
