Why Common Circle?
The Common ecosystem is home to some of the sharpest minds in web3. Common Circle is our new contributor program designed to:
- Empower proven community leaders to expand the Common ecosystem.
- Reward meaningful, measurable impact with onchain incentives.
- Support every Circle member with the tools, coaching, and visibility they need to thrive.
Whether you want to shape Common’s core brand or help other DAOs reach their next milestone, Common Circle is the place that’ll make it happen.
Season 1 at a Glance
Applications for Season 1 closed recently, and the response was astounding with 100 + high-quality submissions. The initial idea for this pilot program, was to start off with a tightly scoped cohort focused on Common’s Ethereum community which is one of the longest-standing communities on Common with 330k members.

Expanding the Pilot
Season 1 was originally capped at three slots, but the caliber of applicants convinced us to broaden the cohort. In addition to stewards for common.xyz/ethereum, we’re spinning up:
- Special projects aligned with standout skill sets (e.g., new Common sub-communities and educational content).
- Placements within our Content Clips initiative for creators who excel at storytelling.

The Roadmap
As Common Circle matures, we’re formalizing two contributor tracks each with three pillars (Operations, Growth, Strategy):

| Core Commoner | Steward the Common brand itself by shaping narrative, moderating flagship channels, and co-creating initiatives like the official newsletter. |
| Farmer | Embed inside other Common-hosted communities to facilitate growth, governance, and ops with your specialised skills (design, dev, data, etc.). |
Our long-term vision is a self-sustaining network where Core Commoners set ecosystem-wide standards, and Farmers supercharge individual communities all coordinating transparently onchain.
What’s Next?
The final onboarding & reward distribution for Season 1 kicks off the week of July 31, 2025. After that, we’ll:
- Publish a public retrospective of what worked and determine was Season 2 will look like.
- Open applications for new Core Commoners and Farmers.
- Support all of the newly minted Common Circle contributors in hitting their individual milestones
